Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and their families.
- Facilitate normal physiological birth and manage complex obstetric emergencies with confidence.
- Offer evidence-based education and emotional support to expectant mothers.
- Conduct thorough health assessments and manage referrals to other specialties.
- Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, pediatricians, and nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in accordance with NMC guidelines.
Qualification
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Valid Registration as a Midwife (RM).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a busy maternity unit.
- Excellent knowledge of antenatal screening, fetal monitoring, and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
