Your Role:
You will provide comprehensive care for women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment but remains calm under pressure, ensuring the safety and comfort of every mother and newborn.
Responsibility
- Comprehensive Care: Deliver holistic antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and families.
- Labor Support: Assist in normal and complex deliveries, ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort.
- Education & Counseling: Provide evidence-based information and emotional support to parents during their reproductive journey.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and documentation in line with NMC guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and health visitors to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Emergency Response: Utilize critical thinking and clinical skills to manage emergencies effectively.
Qualification
- Registration: Current NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery (or equivalent).
- DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric focus.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification.
