Responsibility

  • Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and their families, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Monitor fetal and maternal health during labor and delivery, recognizing and responding to complications promptly.
  • Offer compassionate emotional and physical support to birthing mothers and their partners.
  • Conduct health assessments and provide education on childbirth, infant care, and breastfeeding.
  • Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, neonatologists, and nursing staff to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation in accordance with hospital standards.

Qualification

  • Current AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) registration as a Midwife.
  • Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
