Responsibility
- Monitor and assess patients with cardiac conditions using advanced telemetry monitoring systems
- Administer medications and interventions for acute cardiac events including STEMI and arrhythmias
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Perform emergency interventions including code response and rapid assessment protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with precise documentation of patient progress
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for cardiac care excellence
Qualification
- Current Illinois RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience in cardiac/telemetry unit
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and cardiac monitoring technologies
- Demonstrated expertise in arrhythmia interpretation and emergency response
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
- Certification in Cardiac-Vascular Nursing (CV-BC) preferred
