Responsibility
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to hospital protocols and safety regulations.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns to physicians immediately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient transitions and care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit governance meetings.
Qualification
- Current, active RN license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Critical Care or Telemetry setting.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
