Responsibility
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, recording vital signs and symptoms
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Respond to life-saving situations using advanced life support protocols
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit committees
Qualification
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree considered
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, Emergency Department experience highly desired
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- PALS certification preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment and adapt quickly
