Responsibility
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Conduct thorough site surveys, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure project viability.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless project integration and communication.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building regulations, health and safety codes, and environmental standards.
- Supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
Qualification
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Chartered status (MICE or CEng) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably within the UK construction sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Strong knowledge of UK building codes (e.g., Building Regulations 2010) and health and safety legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
