Responsibility
- Lead Design & Planning: Oversee the architectural and structural design phases of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations.
- Site Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce quality control measures, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Project Management: Manage project lifecycles from feasibility studies to final handover, including budget management, timeline adherence, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors, facilitating clear communication and resolving technical disputes.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, calculation sheets, and tender documentation with precision and clarity.
- Cost Estimation: Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide accurate estimates for materials and labor to ensure project profitability.
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (MEng or BEng accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects in the UK.
- Chartered Status: Chartered status (MICE) or working towards it is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MS Project.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK Building Regulations, CDM Regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
