Responsibility
- Lead the design and permitting of site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility systems for large-scale projects.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports in compliance with TCEQ and local municipal codes.
- Serve as Engineer of Record, sealing documents and mentoring junior EITs and staff engineers.
- Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design erosion and sedimentation control plans.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Perform due diligence and feasibility studies for potential development sites.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited). Master's degree preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain by comity within 6 months.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in land development and/or public works infrastructure design.
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, or similar engineering design software.
- Demonstrated project management experience with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of Texas water rights, drainage criteria, and NPDES permitting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with public presentations is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
