Join our dynamic IT infrastructure team as a Senior Cloud Systems Administrator at NexusTech Solutions. You'll architect, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud environments while driving innovation in enterprise systems. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely 3 days/week with office collaboration in our state-of-the-art Austin tech hub. We're seeking a proactive problem-solver passionate about automation and security excellence to support our rapidly growing SaaS platform serving 500K+ global users.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and optimize AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Automate system monitoring, patching, and deployment pipelines using Ansible and Jenkins
- Lead security hardening initiatives including CIS benchmarks and zero-trust architecture
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotation for critical infrastructure incidents with SLA-driven resolution
- Mentor junior administrators while documenting SOPs and knowledge base articles
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for microservices
- Conduct capacity planning and cost optimization for cloud resources
Qualification
- 5+ years administering Linux/Windows systems with 3+ years in AWS/GCP environments
- Expertise in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef) and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and load balancing
- Certifications required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent GCP
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven incident response management with ITIL/ITSM practices
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
