Responsibility
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of editors and writers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking editorial strategy that aligns with audience growth and brand objectives.
- Oversee the entire content lifecycle from ideation and assignment to editing and publication.
- Conduct rigorous copy editing and fact-checking to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to AP style.
- Manage relationships with freelance contributors and external content partners.
- Analyze content performance data to drive iterative improvements in content strategy and format.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and SEO teams to amplify content reach.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of editorial experience in a digital publication or media company.
- Proven experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
- Mastery of AP Style and an impeccable command of grammar.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content distribution strategies.
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Contentful) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Parse.ly).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional editorial and writing skills.
