Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end editorial processes for 8-10 high-profile titles annually
- Develop and execute content strategy aligned with market trends and audience insights
- Lead a team of 5+ editors, providing mentorship and performance guidance
- Collaborate with authors to refine manuscripts while preserving unique voices
- Manage cross-departmental partnerships with marketing, design, and production
- Conduct market analysis to identify emerging genres and opportunities
- Ensure brand consistency across all published materials
Qualification
- 7+ years of editorial experience with 3+ in leadership roles
- Proven track record of successful commercial publications
- Expert knowledge of publishing workflows, contracts, and rights management
- Exceptional command of grammar, style, and narrative structure
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and editorial tools
- Demonstrated ability to develop new talent and foster inclusive teams
- Strong analytical skills for market trend identification
- Published author or advanced degree in Publishing/Journalism preferred
