Responsibility
- Manage daily farm operations including crop planting, irrigation, and harvest scheduling
- Oversee livestock health, nutrition, and breeding programs
- Implement precision farming technologies (GPS, soil sensors, drone monitoring)
- Develop and execute sustainable soil management and conservation practices
- Coordinate with agronomists for pest control and disease prevention
- Maintain farm equipment and machinery maintenance schedules
- Supervise farm staff and seasonal workers
- Monitor crop yields and financial performance metrics
Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of progressive farm management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and pesticide applicator certification
- Proven expertise in organic farming practices and certification requirements
- Advanced knowledge of precision agriculture equipment and software
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (tractors, combines, harvesters)
- Financial literacy for budgeting and cost control
