Responsibility
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily farming activities, including planting schedules, irrigation, and pest control.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and coordinate a diverse workforce of farm laborers and seasonal staff.
- Resource Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of heavy agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Sustainability: Implement and monitor sustainable farming practices to improve soil quality and reduce environmental impact.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal agricultural regulations and safety standards.
- Financial Planning: Prepare annual budgets and monitor operational costs to maximize profitability.
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Science, or a related field (or equivalent years of hands-on experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in farm management or agricultural operations.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of crop cycles, soil health, and modern farming technologies.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively and resolve operational challenges.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as required.
- License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
