Responsibility
- Direct and supervise field survey crews in boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
- Review and validate survey data, plats, legal descriptions, and reports for accuracy and compliance with state and local regulations.
- Operate and maintain advanced survey equipment, including robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, and 3D laser scanners.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
- Analyze survey data to resolve boundary discrepancies and prepare comprehensive exhibits for legal and design teams.
- Implement rigorous safety protocols and quality assurance procedures in all field and office operations.
- Mentor junior staff, providing technical training and guidance for professional development.
- Collaborate closely with civil engineers, architects, and project managers to define scope and optimize project outcomes.
Qualification
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RPLS) in the State of Texas is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a closely related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in land surveying with a focus on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and survey data processing software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, easements, and right-of-way mapping.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to travel to various job sites.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with an impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and stakeholder interaction.
