Responsibility

  • Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to low and high-risk pregnancies
  • Lead emergency response situations including neonatal resuscitation and obstetric emergencies
  • Conduct holistic health assessments and develop individualized care plans for mothers and newborns
  • Mentor junior midwives and student midwives through clinical supervision and skills training
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary rounds
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with NMC standards
  • Participate in service improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice implementation

Qualification

  • Registered Midwife with NMC pin (RM status)
  • BSc in Midwifery or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration clinical experience in maternity care
  • Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) or equivalent certification
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport with diverse families
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and make critical decisions in emergency situations
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
