Responsibility
- Provide holistic antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and newborns
- Lead complex births including breech presentations and multiple pregnancies
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with obstetricians
- Conduct newborn assessments and provide lactation support
- Maintain accurate NMC-compliant documentation and risk assessments
- Mentor junior midwives and student nurses
- Participate in clinical audits and service improvement initiatives
Qualification
- NMC registered midwife with current PIN
- BSc in Midwifery or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in acute maternity setting
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation certification
- Evidence of continuing professional development in maternal-fetal medicine
- Experience leading multidisciplinary care pathways
- Strong understanding of NMC midwifery standards and legal frameworks
