Job Description
CloudNexus Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our global network infrastructure. In this role, you will architect scalable solutions, optimize network performance, and ensure robust security across our data centers and cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support critical business operations and drive innovation in networking technologies. Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud networks (AWS/Azure).
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers from Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto Networks.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement proactive optimization strategies.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, including VPNs, ACLs, and zero-trust frameworks.
- Automate network provisioning and management using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to support containerization and SDN initiatives.
- Document network designs, procedures, and change requests in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and lead root cause analysis for major outages.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
- Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLAN, STP, VxLAN).
- Strong experience with next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG).
- Certifications: CCNP or CCIE equivalent required; cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) a plus.
- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or Jinja2).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
