Responsibility
- Dispense prescription medications with precision and counsel patients on proper usage, dosage, and potential side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
- Manage inventory control, compounding, and regulatory compliance (DEA, FDA, NYSDOH)
- Lead clinical initiatives including immunizations, medication therapy management, and health screenings
- Mentor junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians while maintaining high service standards
- Utilize advanced pharmacy software for inventory management and patient records
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
- Active New York State Pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge with focus on chronic disease management
- Exceptional communication skills and patient-centered approach
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- CPR certification and willingness to obtain additional clinical certifications
