Responsibility
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with meticulous attention to accuracy and safety protocols
- Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic regimens
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of medications
- Conduct immunizations and health screenings as per state regulations
- Maintain compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and HIPAA guidelines
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff with leadership excellence
- Utilize pharmacy management software for efficient operations and documentation
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Illinois
- Minimum 3 years of clinical or retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and compounding
- Exceptional communication and patient counseling skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and electronic health records
- Certification in immunization administration (e.g., APhA) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
