Responsibility
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations including prescription verification, compounding, and inventory management
- Provide clinical consultations and medication therapy management for complex patient cases
- Lead staff training programs on new pharmaceutical technologies and compliance standards
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize treatment plans and reduce adverse drug interactions
- Implement quality improvement initiatives enhancing patient safety outcomes
- Manage electronic health record systems and pharmacy automation technologies
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from accredited institution
- Active Texas pharmacist license with no disciplinary actions
- 3+ years of hospital or retail pharmacy management experience
- Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
- Strong proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to train diverse teams
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based pharmaceutical practices
