Responsibility
- Plan, coordinate, and execute boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys from inception to completion.
- Supervise and mentor a crew of 2-3 Survey Technicians and Instrument Operators.
- Perform complex field calculations, traverse adjustments, and data processing using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroSurvey.
- Prepare and review legal descriptions, plats, reports, and exhibits for client submittals.
- Maintain strict adherence to NCEES standards, state regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Architects to resolve boundary and design conflicts.
- Calibrate and verify field equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Qualification
- Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of Colorado (or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Expert proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and data collectors.
- Strong understanding of PLSS, metes and bounds, and easement descriptions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and office surveying software (e.g., MicroSurvey, Star*Net).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and team interactions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or related field preferred.
