Responsibility
- Perform complex surgical procedures across specialties including general, trauma, and minimally invasive techniques
- Lead multidisciplinary surgical teams and coordinate pre/post-operative care
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to surgical innovation protocols
- Mentor residents and fellows through structured training programs
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with oncology, cardiology, and emergency departments for integrated care
- Conduct regular surgical safety reviews and quality improvement initiatives
Qualification
- Board-certified in General Surgery with 5+ years of post-fellowship experience
- Fellowship training in trauma, oncology, or minimally invasive surgery preferred
- Active NY State medical license and DEA certification
- Proven expertise in robotic-assisted surgical systems
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring surgical teams
- Published research in peer-reviewed surgical journals
