Apex Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to manage our complex hybrid environment. As a key member of our IT Operations team, you will be responsible for the stability, security, and scalability of our core systems. We value autonomy, technical depth, and a proactive approach to system maintenance.
Responsibility
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations, monitoring, and maintenance of on-premise servers and cloud resources (AWS/Azure).
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage identity and access controls (IAM).
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (Python/Bash/PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual errors.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and execute robust backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze system performance metrics and optimize resource allocation to ensure high uptime and low latency.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with development and engineering teams to provide technical support and guide architectural decisions.
Qualification
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role in a hybrid environment.
- Operating Systems: Deep expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCSA, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
