NexGen Cloud Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Systems Administrator to oversee and optimize our critical IT infrastructure. Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available server infrastructure (Linux/Windows) across on-premises data centers and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Administer and optimize core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP to ensure peak performance and reliability.
- Implement robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies using tools like Veeam or Commvault.
- Automate repetitive tasks and configurations using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and proactively identify potential issues to maintain uptime SLAs of 99.9%.
- Manage and maintain physical and virtualized environments (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V).
- Collaborate with the security team to enforce compliance policies, patch vulnerabilities, and manage endpoint security solutions.
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated incidents, mentor junior team members, and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience as a Systems Administrator in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
- Expert proficiency in Linux (CentOS/RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure certifications preferred).
- Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Firewalls).
- Proven experience with scripting and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure during critical outages.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to document complex systems clearly and concisely.
