Responsibility
- Safely command and navigate multi-purpose cargo vessels through complex international routes
- Oversee vessel operations, crew management, and cargo loading/unloading procedures
- Ensure strict adherence to SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state regulations
- Implement emergency response protocols and conduct regular safety drills
- Coordinate with port authorities, charterers, and shore-based logistics teams
- Optimize fuel efficiency and route planning for cost-effective operations
- Maintain comprehensive voyage records and compliance documentation
- Lead crew training programs and performance assessments
Qualification
- Master Mariner (Unlimited) License with STCW endorsement
- Minimum 5+ years as Chief Officer or Captain on vessels >5,000 GT
- Proven experience with electronic navigation systems (ECDIS, radar, AIS)
- Advanced certification in crisis management and firefighting
- Strong knowledge of international maritime law and insurance requirements
- Excellent leadership and cross-cultural communication skills
- Valid medical fitness certificate and security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or equivalent experience
