Responsibility
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and provide clinical oversight to pharmacy technicians.
- Conduct comprehensive medication therapy reviews and manage drug therapy problems.
- Administer immunizations and provide patient counseling on over-the-counter and prescription medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and monitor patient treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, storage, and return of pharmaceuticals.
- Supervise daily workflow and mentor pharmacy interns and technicians.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy setting.
- Immunization certification (required).
- Proven track record in medication therapy management and patient counseling.
- Exceptional attention to detail and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train staff.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
