Responsibility

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications and provide clinical oversight to pharmacy technicians.
  • Conduct comprehensive medication therapy reviews and manage drug therapy problems.
  • Administer immunizations and provide patient counseling on over-the-counter and prescription medications.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and monitor patient treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, storage, and return of pharmaceuticals.
  • Supervise daily workflow and mentor pharmacy interns and technicians.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualification

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited institution.
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the State of Texas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy setting.
  • Immunization certification (required).
  • Proven track record in medication therapy management and patient counseling.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train staff.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
