Responsibility
- Manage daily farm operations including planting, irrigation, and harvesting cycles
- Implement sustainable soil management and crop rotation strategies
- Oversee maintenance and operation of farm equipment (tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems)
- Monitor crop health and implement integrated pest management solutions
- Coordinate seasonal labor crews and supervise farm staff
- Maintain accurate records of yields, expenses, and compliance certifications
- Develop and execute farm improvement plans focusing on sustainability
Qualification
- 5+ years of hands-on farming experience with crop management
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain
- Strong knowledge of organic farming practices and certifications
- Experience operating and maintaining farm machinery
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and harvest seasons
- Basic understanding of soil science and sustainable agriculture principles
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Problem-solving abilities for weather-related challenges and equipment issues
