We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. Responsibility
- Manage and maintain all production systems, servers, and network components ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including EC2, S3, VPCs, and Azure Active Directory hybrid join.
- Automate routine tasks, configuration management, and deployments using scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Oversee and administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive capacity planning.
- Develop and enforce security policies, manage firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto), and lead incident response efforts.
- Manage backup solutions (Veeam, AWS Backup) and disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide tier 3 support for escalated helpdesk tickets and mentor junior IT staff.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) administration.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, VPNs).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS certified preferred) and Infrastructure as Code.
- Expertise in scripting and automation (PowerShell required, Python/Bash a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on documentation and collaboration.
