Responsibility
- Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimize hybrid environments spanning AWS cloud and on-premise data centers.
- Automation & DevOps: Design and implement automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines using Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security best practices, manage IAM policies, conduct vulnerability scanning, and ensure SOC 2 compliance.
- Monitoring & Reliability: Manage the monitoring stack (Datadog/Prometheus) to ensure 99.9% uptime and rapid incident resolution.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and test comprehensive backup and DR strategies for all critical systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to support new releases and scale infrastructure seamlessly.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed runbooks, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
Qualification
- Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in Systems Administration, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- Cloud Expertise: Deep experience with AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda); AWS certification is a strong plus.
- Operating Systems: Expert-level proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and solid knowledge of Windows Server.
- Scripting: Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Load Balancers (ALB/NGINX), and VPNs.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills and a proactive approach to system reliability and performance tuning.
