Responsibility
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related areas.
- Establish a robust, externally funded research program that produces high-impact scholarly publications.
- Advise and mentor a diverse group of graduate and undergraduate students in their research endeavors.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university service activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program assessment within the Department of Computer Science.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaborations across the university and with external partners.
- Engage in professional activities such as conference organization and journal reviewing.
Qualification
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field by the start date of the appointment.
- Demonstrated record of high-quality research with publications in top-tier AI conferences and journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, AAAI, IJCAI).
- Proven ability or clear potential to secure external research funding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment in the classroom and lab.
- Experience in teaching or co-teaching university-level courses is highly desirable.
- Ability to contribute to the university's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Expertise in areas such as NLP, Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, or Robotics is a plus.
