Responsibility
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional freight delivery
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and trailers
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment when needed
- Maintain logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery status per DOT regulations
- Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and updates
- Handle paperwork including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and inspection reports
Qualification
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) preferred
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Hazmat endorsement is a plus but not required
