What You Will Do
As a Construction Laborer at Apex, you will be the backbone of our operations. You will work alongside skilled tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibility
- Site Preparation: Prepare and clean construction sites, including removing debris and setting up temporary work areas.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as directed.
- Machinery Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and tools, including drills, saws, and forklifts (with certification).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
- Measurement: Measure, cut, and shape materials according to blueprints and project specifications.
Qualification
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Licensure: Valid Driver’s License and willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and the ability to read basic blueprints.
