Responsibility

  • Execute heavy lifting and material handling tasks including loading, unloading, and transporting construction supplies and equipment to designated work areas
  • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, excavating trenches, and setting up forms for concrete pouring according to project specifications
  • Operate hand tools such as hammers, drills, saws, and pneumatic equipment with precision and adherence to manufacturer guidelines
  • Assemble and disassemble scaffolding, bracing, and temporary structures required for various phases of construction
  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols, consistently wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Collaborate effectively with superintendents, foremen, and fellow tradespeople to maintain project schedules and quality standards
  • Read and interpret construction blueprints, layouts, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate task completion
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and operational condition throughout each workday

Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; willing to consider equivalent work experience in construction
  • Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial construction environments
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
  • Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and construction measurement instruments such as tape measures and levels
  • Current OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification or willingness to obtain within first 30 days of employment
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles and machinery as needed
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic with references from previous construction employers
  • Basic mathematical skills for measuring, calculating quantities, and interpreting blueprint dimensions
