Responsibility
- Execute heavy lifting and material handling tasks including loading, unloading, and transporting construction supplies and equipment to designated work areas
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, excavating trenches, and setting up forms for concrete pouring according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools such as hammers, drills, saws, and pneumatic equipment with precision and adherence to manufacturer guidelines
- Assemble and disassemble scaffolding, bracing, and temporary structures required for various phases of construction
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols, consistently wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Collaborate effectively with superintendents, foremen, and fellow tradespeople to maintain project schedules and quality standards
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, layouts, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate task completion
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and operational condition throughout each workday
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; willing to consider equivalent work experience in construction
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial construction environments
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and construction measurement instruments such as tape measures and levels
- Current OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification or willingness to obtain within first 30 days of employment
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles and machinery as needed
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic with references from previous construction employers
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring, calculating quantities, and interpreting blueprint dimensions
