Responsibility
- Perform a variety of general construction tasks including site cleanup, material handling, and assisting skilled tradespeople.
- Operate hand tools and power tools (e.g., jackhammers, saws, drills) safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Load, unload, and distribute building materials to designated areas on the job site.
- Erect and maintain scaffolding, shoring, and barricades as required by project plans and safety regulations.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Support crew with framing, concrete work, drywall installation, demolition, and finishing tasks.
- Report equipment malfunctions or project hazards to the site supervisor immediately.
- Assist with site security, lock-up, and organization at the end of each shift.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction, general labor, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50+ lbs) throughout the day and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and on uneven terrain.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to job sites across the Austin metro area.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a strong plus.
- Strong commitment to punctuality, reliability, and teamwork.
- Basic proficiency in English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
