Are you a detail-oriented professional passionate about precision and the built environment? Apex Geospatial Solutions is expanding its New York team and is looking for a Senior Land Surveyor to lead our field operations and data analysis.
We specialize in large-scale commercial development, infrastructure projects, and municipal mapping. In this role, you will utilize state-of-the-art technology to deliver accurate geospatial data that drives decision-making for our clients.
What You Will Do:
- Lead field teams in conducting boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
- Operate advanced surveying equipment including GNSS, Total Stations, and Laser Scanners.
- Process raw field data using industry-standard software to create precise drawings.
- Ensure all survey deliverables meet strict quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to resolve complex site challenges.
Responsibility
- Perform detailed boundary and topographic surveys on various project sites.
- Manage and calibrate surveying instruments and software.
- Prepare comprehensive survey reports, plats, and as-built drawings.
- Conduct on-site quality control checks to ensure data accuracy.
- Communicate technical findings to clients and project stakeholders effectively.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations on job sites.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Geomatics.
- Valid New York State Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license (or eligible).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in land surveying.
- Expert proficiency in Trimble, Leica, or Topcon equipment.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS applications.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
