In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the overall safety and efficiency of our vessel operations, ensuring that we deliver our cargo on time while maintaining the highest standards of maritime compliance.
Responsibility
- Command and navigate the vessel in accordance with international maritime laws and company policies.
- Oversee the management and welfare of the crew, ensuring proper training, discipline, and morale.
- Implement and monitor strict safety protocols, including Muster Drills and Emergency Response plans.
- Manage vessel maintenance schedules and budgetary control regarding fuel and supplies.
- Conduct regular bridge resource management (BRM) and safety audits.
- Communicate effectively with port authorities, agents, and shore-based management teams.
Qualification
- Valid US Coast Guard License as Master of Vessels of Unlimited Tonnage.
- STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) certification.
- Minimum 5 years of sea time, including at least 2 years in a Master's capacity.
- Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written) for bridge communication.
- Current Medical Certificate and First Aid/CPR certification.
- Proficiency in modern ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System).
