Responsibility
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15–25 logistics associates, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Direct inbound and outbound operations, ensuring flawless execution of receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Enforce rigorous safety and compliance standards (OSHA, company policies) through regular audits and proactive hazard mitigation.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) like productivity, accuracy, and cost-per-unit to drive strategic improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Inventory Control, Maintenance, and HR to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Conduct performance reviews, manage attendance and scheduling, and implement retention strategies to build team cohesion.
- Manage labor budgets and overtime allocation to optimize costs against fluctuating volume demands.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience: 3+ years of supervisory experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing plant.
- Systems: Advanced proficiency with WMS (e.g., Manhattan, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to inspire teams, manage conflict, and drive a positive, results-oriented culture.
- Safety: Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and a track record of maintaining a safe work environment.
- Analytics: Strong problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive decisions and report on metrics.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desired.
- Certification: Must possess or be willing to obtain forklift and HAZMAT certifications.
