The Wellington Academy of New York is actively seeking a distinguished and visionary School Principal to lead our acclaimed K-12 institution. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the chief architect of our educational strategy, steering the academic, cultural, and operational trajectory of one of Manhattan's most prestigious private schools.

Responsibility
- Strategic Vision & Execution: Lead the development and implementation of a bold academic vision that drives exceptional student outcomes and solidifies the school’s standing as a leader in K-12 education.
- Faculty Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and retain a world-class faculty, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the refinement and innovation of the curriculum, integrating cutting-edge pedagogy, technology, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with students, parents, alumni, and the broader New York community to foster a vibrant, supportive school ecosystem.
- Operational & Financial Management: Direct the school’s daily operations, budget planning, and resource allocation, ensuring financial sustainability and operational excellence.
- Student Development: Champion a holistic approach to student well-being, character education, and co-curricular distinction, preparing students for top-tier university admissions.
- Accreditation & Compliance: Lead the school through rigorous accreditation cycles and ensure full adherence to all independent school standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualification
- Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or Administration required; Doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) strongly preferred.
- Proven Leadership: Minimum of 10 years in K-12 education with at least 5 years as a Principal, Head of School, or equivalent senior leadership role in a high-performing independent school.
- Academic Expertise: Deep knowledge of curriculum design, instructional best practices, and assessment strategies that drive measurable student growth.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire faculty, engage parents, and represent the school publicly with poise and authority.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated success in managing budgets, strategic financial planning, and sustainable resource stewardship.
- Visionary Mindset: A track record of implementing forward-thinking initiatives that enhance academic excellence, diversity, and community culture.
- Certification: Valid New York State School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS/SBL) certification or eligibility to obtain.
