Responsibility
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Navigate complex routes using GPS and map systems, adjusting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate digital logs (ELD) and complete all necessary paperwork and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients during loading and unloading processes.
- Uphold a clean driving record and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualification
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in long-haul or local truck driving.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging duties and communication.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks that require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
