Midwest Logistics Solutions is seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor to lead our distribution team in Chicago. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure safety compliance, and drive productivity across multiple shifts. Responsibility
- Coordinate and supervise shift activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitor inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
- Train, coach, and evaluate team members to foster continuous improvement.
- Communicate operational updates and address issues in a timely manner.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and process optimization.
- Prepare shift reports and provide input for performance reviews.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a high‑volume environment.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
