Responsibility
- Command vessels safely across designated routes and ports while ensuring optimal fuel efficiency
- Supervise and coordinate all deck crew members, conducting regular performance evaluations
- Ensure full compliance with USCG, SOLAS, MARPOL, and international maritime regulations
- Oversee cargo loading, securing, and unloading operations to company standards
- Maintain accurate voyage logs, manifests, and all required documentation
- Conduct emergency safety drills and manage crisis response procedures
- Monitor vessel condition and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules
Qualification
- Valid US Coast Guard Master Captain's License (100GT or higher required)
- Minimum 5 years of maritime experience with at least 2 years as vessel Captain
- Proficiency in ECDIS, GPS, RADAR, and modern electronic navigation systems
- Current STCW Basic Training certification
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication abilities
- Ability to pass rigorous drug screening and comprehensive background checks
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Operations or related field preferred
