Responsibility
- Safely navigate vessels through complex waterways while adhering to international maritime regulations
- Manage crew operations, training, and performance optimization
- Oversee vessel maintenance, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures
- Coordinate with port authorities, cargo handlers, and charterers
- Implement fuel efficiency and sustainability initiatives
- Maintain accurate voyage logs and compliance documentation
- Lead onboard safety drills and crisis management scenarios
Qualification
- Master Mariner license (Class 1) with minimum 5 years sea service
- STCW certification and valid medical fitness certificate
- Proven experience with container vessels or tankers >10,000 GT
- Strong knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code regulations
- Advanced proficiency in ECDIS and modern navigation systems
- Leadership experience managing multicultural crews of 20+
- Fluency in English with additional language skills preferred
- Crisis management and emergency response training
