Join Oceanic Transport Solutions as a Ship Captain and lead our operations in the Gulf of Mexico. We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated professional to command our vessels, ensuring the safety of crew, cargo, and vessels while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency. As a captain, you will play a pivotal role in navigating complex maritime routes and managing dynamic crew interactions in a challenging environment.
Responsibility
- Safely command vessels of various sizes across designated routes.
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. Coast Guard, federal, and international maritime regulations.
- Manage and supervise the vessel's crew, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee cargo handling, stability calculations, and secure stowage.
- Maintain accurate deck logs, navigation logs, and operational reports.
- Coordinate with port authorities, agents, and shore-side management for efficient port operations.
- Lead emergency drills and manage safety protocols, ensuring a zero-incident culture.
Qualification
- Valid USCG Master Mariner License (Limited or Unlimited, depending on tonnage).
- Current STCW Basic, Advanced Firefighting, and Medical Person certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in maritime operations, including at least 2 years in a command role.
- Radar Observer Certificate and experience with Electronic Chart Display (ECDIS).
- TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Physical fitness to perform duties in all weather conditions and handle heavy equipment.
