Job Description

Pacific Harbor Shipping Lines is seeking an experienced Ship Captain to command our commercial vessel fleet operating in the Pacific Northwest and Alaskan waters. Responsibility

  • Command and oversee all vessel operations including navigation, cargo handling, and crew management

  • Maintain rigorous safety protocols and emergency preparedness procedures at all times
  • Ensure strict adherence to US Coast Guard regulations, environmental laws, and international maritime standards

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Operations, Naval Architecture, or equivalent military maritime service
  • Minimum 5 years of experience commanding commercial vessels in similar operating environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in electronic navigation systems, radar, and modern ship management technologies
  • Current STCW certifications including Basic Safety Training and Advanced Firefighting
  • Strong leadership abilities with proven track record managing diverse crews in challenging conditions
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to work in adverse weather conditions for extended periods
  • Clean Drug & Alcohol Test record and background check clearance
