Responsibility
- Safely navigate and command vessels through complex international routes, ensuring compliance with SOLAS, IMO, and flag state regulations
- Manage crew operations, including training, scheduling, and performance optimization for 15+ maritime professionals
- Oversee vessel maintenance, cargo loading/unloading, and emergency response protocols
- Coordinate with port authorities, charterers, and shore-based logistics teams for seamless operations
- Implement risk management strategies and conduct regular safety drills
- Optimize fuel efficiency and route planning for cost-effective voyages
- Maintain accurate navigational logs and regulatory documentation
Qualification
- Master Mariner (Class 1) Certificate or equivalent international certification
- Minimum 8+ years of sea service, with 3+ years as Chief Officer or Captain
- Proven expertise in container vessel operations and Southeast Asian maritime corridors
- STCW 2010 compliance with valid GMDSS, ECDIS, and firefighting certifications
- Strong leadership abilities with cross-cultural crew management experience
- Advanced knowledge of maritime law, insurance requirements, and charter party contracts
- Exceptional crisis management and decision-making skills under pressure
