Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth investigations and original reporting on complex topics
- Develop and maintain confidential sources while adhering to journalistic ethics
- Write compelling, fact-checked articles for multiple platforms (print, digital, video)
- Collaborate with editors and multimedia teams to produce immersive storytelling
- Break news stories and provide live coverage of major events
- Analyze data and public records to uncover hidden patterns and truths
- Represent the publication at industry events and public forums
Qualification
- Minimum 3 years of professional journalism experience
- Proven track record of investigative reporting and breaking news coverage
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in FOIA requests, data analysis, and digital research tools
- Strong understanding of media law and journalistic ethics (NUJ/Society of Editors guidelines)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle sensitive information
- Portfolio demonstrating impactful published work
- Relevant degree in journalism, communications, or related field
