Responsibility
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Inspect and test electrical components and systems for safety and code compliance.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and provide effective, timely solutions.
- Ensure all work meets local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on new construction and renovation projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Adhere to safety protocols and consistently use personal protective equipment.
Qualification
- Valid Illinois Electrical License (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina; ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship completion is a plus.
