Responsibility
- Lead the planning, design, and management of large-scale civil engineering projects (transportation, water resources, land development).
- Perform complex engineering analysis and design using advanced software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS).
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring profitability and timely delivery.
- Mentor and supervise a team of junior engineers, EITs, and CAD technicians.
- Interface directly with clients, contractors, and public agencies to ensure seamless communication and project success.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality control reviews.
- Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Champion sustainable design practices and green infrastructure solutions.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in the State of Colorado is required.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation; experience with Bluebeam, GIS, and hydrologic modeling software.
- Proven track record of managing projects with budgets exceeding $5M.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to municipal planning boards.
- Deep knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations (NEPA, Clean Water Act).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a significant plus.
