Responsibility
- Safely transport time-sensitive packages, medical specimens, and confidential documents across Manhattan using company-provided vehicles
- Optimize daily delivery routes using advanced GPS systems to maintain 95%+ on-time delivery rate
- Provide real-time delivery updates through our proprietary mobile tracking system
- Handle special requirements including temperature-controlled shipments and high-security protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain proper signatures/receipts
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Represent MetroSwift with professional appearance and exceptional customer service
Qualification
- Valid Class D Driver's License with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Proven experience in urban courier or delivery services (2+ years)
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and route optimization software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and maneuver in tight spaces
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays during peak seasons
- Basic knowledge of hazardous material handling (preferred)
